It has been three weeks since the event on October 7 and 8,
2010, and I am still recovering from it. This was more intense
than Burning
Man Festival, probably because I was a participant in Art
Marathon, whereas I was a spectator in Burning Man.
To me, this was extreme. It was the most tiring, pleasant,
and glorifying experience.
It was tiring because we, 30 artists, worked for 24 hours and
got about 3 hours' sleep before we went back the next day to
attend the banquet, two silent auctions, and one live auction.
The ticket to attend this auction was sold out I hear.
The most pleasant because having shared a space with the other
29 creative individuals with artistic skills was something I
can’t quite explain in either Japanese or English. But if you
are one of the artists who were there, you KNOW what I am talking
about. There was something there in the 24 hours. I just don’t
know how to say it.
This was quite glorifying to me, having sold 9 out of ten pieces
I produced during the 24 hours.
I thank CoCA
for its astonishing teamwork!
These are the ten pieces: Scroll down to see them.
