Resin Coated Works Professionally Shot

I was privileged to have my works photographed by the photographer Lee Hunter. I've been photographing my work with my crappy cheap camera with no lighting equipments, so those who have been following me on computer screen over the years may see the difference in quality of the photos. Shooting the works with epoxy coating can get quite technical, but she was able to figured out how to manage the reflections and glares.

Triptych: each panel is 15x30 inches and about 2 inches deep. The entire set measures 30x45 inches. FOR SALE! Photographed by Lee Hunter

The Bay Area versus Miami

As many of you know, I moved from Miami, Florida to the Bay Area, California several months ago. For your entertainment I listed my observation on some of the differences between those two places very far apart: the Bay Area versus Miami.

Bay Area
Miami
Pedestrians are treated as “people.” Pedestrians are often hit by cars.
Most of U-turns and Left-turns are regulated by traffic lights or often forbidden. It takes longer to get to the designations because of these restrictions. I didn’t like it at first because it makes a navigation very complicated , but by following the traffic lights, the chance of collisions is very closed to zero. Thus, less stressful driving. Do the U-turn or Left-turn or any turn anytime anywhere. You can drive like a ballerina!
I hardly see a traffic accident scene. I think I’ve seen accident scenes only two or three times in the past 5 month. Traffic accidents everywhere all the time. On a bad day I saw 4 accident scenes in one trip.
I now pay about $60 per month for car insurance. I used to pay about $120 per month for car insurance.
When a traffic light turns to Green from Red, more than 99 percent of drivers go forward. Often drivers don’t promptly respond to traffic lights turning to Green, and I must honk to get them moving if I am behind them. Wake up, people!
There’s almost no drive-through window in banks, food establishments, or pharmacies in the Bay Area. They don’t like the emissions from the idle cars that pollute the air in the area where pedestrians, which happen to be “people,” are walking around. Drive-through windows were convenient, and I got so used to do drive-through. It is convenient because you don’t have to park your car and etc. I always used the drive-through with Bank of America and did all the depositing/withdrawing.
Tons of yummy coffee joints to choose from. Each has its own personality and decorated as such. Some of coffee joints are used for cultural activities like poetry, art, music, and so on. Cuban Coffee and Starbucks dominate the market.
Reasonably priced Indian/Pakistani restaurants are easily found. There are only a few Indian restaurants and one has to drive far to get there. Rather pricey.
